Larry is W5UMS club President.  Larry is a General Class operator, ARRL member, Volunteer Examiner, Emergency Coordinator for Lafayette County ARES, and PEARC member.  Operating activities include SSB, SKYWARN/ARES, and FM. QRZ

 Michael is W5UMS club Vice President.  He is an Extra Class licensee. QRZ

Tobin is W5UMS club Secretary and a General Class operator. QRZ

Hilton is W5UMS club Treasurer.  A General Class that operating activities include SSB and FM. We have his repeater in the Oxford area on 147.45  QRZ

Matthew Inman is an Extra Class operator and will be conduction VE Testing for UMARC in 2012. QRZ

Jim is the W5UMS trustee and manages our club awards and QSL's.  An Extra Class operator whose activities include SSB and Volunteer Examiner. Jim is the Sunday morning net control on the Magnolia Section Net. QRZ

Doug is the W5LAF trustee for our local repeaters, 147.33 & 444.350, both with PL tone 107.2. Doug is an Extra Class operator, ARRL member, Mississippi Assistant Section Manager, Magnolia Section Net Manager, and Volunteer Examiner.  Operating activities include SKYWARN, ARES, SSB, and Net Control Station.  QRZ

Rick is a past President of W5UMS.  Rick is an Extra Class operator, a member of ARRL, a Volunteer Examiner.  Operating activities include SKYWARN, CW, SSB, RTTY and FM.  QRZ

Sean is a Technician class who obtained his ticket in 2010 at the age of 11. Sean is part of our family ARRL membership.  Sean enjoys local repeater operations and being net control for the W5UMS Sunday Night net.  QRZ

Miranda is a Technician.  She obtained her license at the age of 14 and because the rest of the family had their ticket and K5LMB wanted her to. She is part of our family ARRL membership. QRZ

 

K5GMA

Gerald is a General class operator.  He became a ham as a mandate from his employer, the MS Dept. of Health, in June of 2006. "We saw how beneficial Amateur Radio was during Katrina." He dabbles in 2 meter and HF phone and checks in on the MS Section Phone net. He is a member of ARRL & PEARC. QRZ 

 

KI5U (formerly W5MPC)

Mike is a former president of W5UMS and helped to resurrect the club when he moved in to the area. He is the Emergency Preparedness and Response Manager for the ARRL. Visit his QRZ page for more.

David, Technician Class operator first licensed 12/18/2009 as KF5EJH.  Obtained vanity call K5MBI 1/29/2010.  ARRL member. Retired from MHP and MBI.  Current job: Emergency Management Coordinator for Lafayette County.  Interested in radio from childhood.  "Having my HAM license helps me to connect with a very important volunteer group that provides a valuable service to the citizens of Lafayette County and the State of Mississippi."
